Renaissance Postergirl

I drew these illustrations on my computer during the design stage because that's how I saw the look developing. I wanted to draw them in a poster style similar to Patrick Nagel and called it "renaissance poster girl". The name represents a rebirth or a re-awakening of the past that is prevalent in our Spring 2010 collection. Doing a lot of graphic work in my past, poster style art has always been most interesting to me for it's control and strong graphic qualities. Even though the girls have a modernized look the overall energy reminds me a bit of Carré Otis back in the 80's. - E -
